Hi! I'm Fred Schlichting, and I'm excited to share a bit about myself with you.
When I'm not busy wrangling my two little ones or sharing in the joys of family life, you'll often find me on the Pickleball court. Coaching Pickleball isn't just a hobby—it's my calling. One that I’ve been pursuing for the last 5 years, both in the USA and Germany.
There's an undeniable thrill in helping others discover their potential and hone their skills in this fast-paced and addictive sport. Whether you're a total newbie or an intermediate player looking to take the next step, I'm here to support you on your Pickleball journey.
My philosophy
At the heart of my Pickleball coaching philosophy lies the belief that learning should be enjoyable and rewarding for every player, regardless of their skill level.
For beginners stepping onto the court for the first time or intermediates aiming to refine their techniques, I strive to create an environment where fun is intertwined with learning.
Advanced intermediate don’t fall short though: learn advanced shot selection, shot placement and court coverage strategies to really unlock your potential!
Through a combination of engaging drills, clear instructionals, and steady guidance, players not only improve their game but also develop a passion for the sport that keeps them coming back for more.

- Strategies to compete with higher level players
- Better decision-making skills and a better eye for the game.

Optimal Group Size and Travel Considerations:
Please be advised that a minimum number of participants is necessary for each clinic or class to maintain an ideal group dynamic conducive to learning.
Furthermore, the number of classes or clinics scheduled may vary based on the distance I must travel to reach the venue. Your cooperation in meeting these requirements is crucial in ensuring a successful coaching experience for all participants.
Cancellation policy:
We understand that sometimes unforeseen circumstances may arise, leading to the need for cancellations or rescheduling of pickleball coaching sessions. To ensure fairness and transparency for both our clients and our coaching staff, we have implemented the following cancellation policy:
- Cancellation by the Coach: In the rare event that we need to cancel a scheduled coaching session due to reasons such as inclement weather, instructor unavailability, or facility closure, clients will receive a full refund of any fees paid or the option to reschedule the session at no additional cost.
- Participant Cancellation: Participants are required to provide a minimum of 48 hours' notice if they need to cancel their scheduled coaching session. Cancellations made within this time frame will be eligible for a full refund of any fees paid.
- Late Cancellation or No-Show: Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled session or failure to attend the session without prior notice will result in the forfeiture of any fees paid. No refunds or credits will be issued in such cases.
